What property owners owe you
Georgia’s duty depends on why you were there.

| Invitee | Customers, tenants in common areas, business visitors | Ordinary care to keep the property reasonably safe |
| Licensee | Social guests, people allowed for their own purpose | Avoid willful or wanton injury; warn of known hidden dangers |
| Trespasser | No permission | Avoid willful or wanton injury |
Children
Some special rules can apply when children are drawn onto property by dangerous conditions like pools.

- Pools without proper fences or covers
- Stairs without handrails
- Falling objects in stores and warehouses
- Elevators and escalators
